Event Description
4-H Shooting Sports is a hands-on program that teaches youth the safe, responsible, and ethical use of firearms, archery equipment, and air guns. Through certified instructors, members learn proper safety practices, marksmanship skills, discipline, and respect for others and the outdoors. The program also emphasizes goal setting, teamwork, and personal responsibility while building confidence and self-control. Beyond target practice, 4-H Shooting Sports helps youth develop life skills and a strong understanding of conservation and sportsmanship in a supportive, educational environment. It is required to attend the meetings January through March, as these are the meetings that will gain the educational hours needed to be able to participate in Shooting Sports. The rest of the meetings will be held for practices and tournaments only.
